Join the Mizzou Alumni Association, Puget Sound Chapter, Electronic Discussion List
There are over a thousand known MU graduates in the Seattle area. Can one of them help my daughter get an internship there? I just moved to Seattle and wanted to meet some other Mizzou grads. I'd like to watch the Tiger game on TV with some other fans--let's all meet at a pub with a big-screen TV. I'll be in Redmond for a conference--is there a good vegetarian restaurant near Microsoft headquarters? When is the next Alumni Association event in Seattle, and what can I do to help? I've never had a lawyer but it's time I put together a will--I'd just as soon give the business to an MU grad but don't know how to find a King County attorney who got their degree from Missouri. Did they ever replace the Faurot Filed astroturf with real grass? Did they put their last losing football coach under it?--some say they should have.
Puget Sound is a long way from the remains of The Shack. The MU Alumni Association puts out a great magazine quarterly. The Puget Sound Chapter meets...
daily.
24 hours a day, in fact. The ingenuity of Mizzou grads combined with the high-tech solutions of Seattle brings you Puget-Mizzou-Alums. This is an on-line e-mail based discussion group.
This list server, or "majordomo" (that's the name of the computer that maintains the list subscriptions), lets the Missouri expatriates in Seattle exchange information with one another and plan Alumni Association activities. It's a contact point for others looking for MU grads in the Pacific Northwest.
